Prevention & treatment of gum disease
Healthy gums are just as important as healthy teeth! We examine your gums at your regularly scheduled cleanings to make sure there are no signs of gum disease. Regular brushing and flossing at home is a great defense in conjunction with your dental cleanings and exams. It is important that you let us know if you are experiencing any discomfort such as tender or bleeding gums, a change in bite, loose teeth or pain when chewing foods. Even if your teeth are overly sensitive to hot or cold liquids, it could be a symptom of gum disease.
If we notice any issues with your gums, we will explore all the treatment options with you and together make the best plan for your oral health.
